“Lack of in situ data” is a recurrent topic in most forums of wind power research because private businesses do not share their data. The Tall Tower Dataset aims at boosting the utilisation of tall tower data, particularly in the fields of wind power and climate research.
Apart from specific credits to the tall tower providers (see Technical Information section), authors using data from The Tall Tower Dataset must always give credit to the dataset creators by citing the publication Ramon et al., 2020.
